ASFAR Signs Strategic MoU with Ministry of Municipalities and Housing to Transform Public Spaces Across Saudi Arabia

The strategic collaboration announced at Cityscape Global in Riyadh aims to enhance quality of life across several promising cities in the Kingdom through innovative renovation of parks and municipal assets in line with the Ministry’s nationwide initiative, “Joy” and Vision 2030.

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 12 November 2024: ASFAR, the Saudi tourism investment company, a PIF Company, today announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing at Cityscape Global in Riyadh. This strategic move aims to enable new recreational, cultural, and entertainment opportunities in underutilized spaces while contributing to the Kingdom's tourism sector growth.

The signing was attended by Dr. Fahad Bin Mushayt, CEO of ASFAR, and Mr. Ihab Mahmoud Hassouba, undersecretary for privatization and financial sustainability at the Ministry, and is in alignment with the Ministry’s nationwide initiative, Joy, to transform underutilized spaces into vibrant community hubs, and ASFAR's commitment to transforming promising cities into tourism destinations across the Kingdom in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals.

Abdulmajeed Alaskar, Assistant Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion and Revenue Generation, Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, commented, “This strategic collaboration with Asfar Company will create unprecedented opportunities for private sector engagement, transforming public facilities into vibrant destinations.
